Industrial Training

Through its association with the Ministry of Steel, the Institute has established a strong linkage with different Industries. The courses of studies have been designed keeping in mind the need of the Industries and also in consultation with the relevant Industries. The Institute offers consultancy services for the modernization and support of small to medium sized companies and associated upstream and downstream Industries. The training and placement wing of the Institute assists the students in obtaining the appropriate industrial training during and after the academic programs at the Institute.

Students of Advanced Certificate in Iron & Steel Manufacturing & Management are sent to Steel Plants for industrial training as part of their course work. The training includes in depth Project Study in Coke Oven, Blast Furnace, LD Converter, Rolling Mill, DRI Making, Maintenance, Process Control & Automation, Research & Control Laboratory, Welding & Fabrication workshop.
